As the principal house on the magical Isle of Tiree, Island House offers a rare opportunity to enjoy this exceptional island in great comfort. Set in a stunning location, the large holiday house which originally dates from around 1750, is the Duke and Duchess of Argyll’s home on Tiree.

Island House, on the banks of Loch An Eilean, is warm, spacious and welcoming at all times of year and provides the ideal location for a quiet retreat, family get-together or large house party. The wonderfully spacious kitchen with its Aga and dining area forms the heart of the house and creates the perfect focal point for gathering in the evening after a day exploring. The roaring fire and deep sofas in the sitting room will persuade you to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this special place. The atmosphere creates a warmth and comfort throughout that all will find appealing.

Built on the site of an old moated castle, the luxury house offers direct access to the calm waters of the surrounding loch and lush grasslands at the front where Corncrakes, Skylarks and Oyster Catchers can be found nesting amongst the grazing sheep and abundant wild flowers. You may even spot the family of otters that are known to play around this exciting shoreline. The feeling of space and open sky, along with the bright white sands of the countless nearby beaches, makes this an exceptional holiday destination.

Adjacent to the house is a charming, cosy bothy offering comfortable additional accommodation for a 3 further guests at an extra charge, bringing the total capacity of Island House to 18.
