Stronshira House is idyllically positioned on the shoreline of Loch Fyne overlooking the impressive Inveraray Castle with its magnificent turrets, and the delightful town of Inveraray.

This traditional stone house has been completely renovated and carefully designed to provide exceptional comfort yet retains the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that this part of the west coast is so well known for.

Throughout, the holiday house is furnished to a high standard and fully equipped with everything needed for a memorable holiday. Happy days with family and friends can be spent enjoying this wonderful location – pack a picnic and head off for day long adventures into the rugged hills or along the shoreline of the loch.

Return home to a roaring open fire in the delightful drawing room and gather for sociable evening dinners around the large dining room table.

The newly fitted, stylish kitchen caters for every cook’s needs and the second family sitting room is ideal for watching TV and playing games.

The house comfortably sleeps 10 guests in 5 delightful bedrooms (four of which have en-suite bathrooms).

There is also a ground floor shower room.

Activities
Guests can enjoy free entry in to Inveraray Castle (1st April-31st October) and are welcome to explore the surrounding estate. Inveraray (2 miles) is one of Scotland’s most interesting and historic towns with many places to visit including Inveraray Castle, Inveraray Jail, and The Bell Tower with its excellent views. There is also a good range of shops, restaurants and cafés as well as a 9 hole golf course, tennis court and small swimming pool in the local Loch Fyne Hotel. The surrounding area has numerous forestry and hill walks, mountain biking, wildlife and fishing as well as loch cruises, wonderful gardens and ruined castles.

Argyll Adventure Park (5 miles) offers a fun filled day for the whole family with horse riding, laser blast arena, laser clays, bungee trampolines, climbing wall, café and picnic area.

Oban with all its attractions, full range of shops and ferry services to Mull and the islands is just over an hour’s drive away.

Towering over the banks of Loch Awe is the challenging climb of Ben Cruachan (1126m) or you can venture inside and view the fascinating underground hydro-power station and visitor centre.

The famous Loch Fyne Oyster bar, restaurant, smokery and shop is only a few miles up Loch Fyne at Cairndow.

Loch Fyne Oyster Bar (5 miles) – Seafood Restaurant, smokery shop, Tree shop & cafe.
